Spiral of not

I have recently tried tackling learn to code 1on Swift playground. Some stuff was hard especially this level you had to predict  what was going where along whit a new aspect to deal with called the not condition aka !. But once you get the hang of it it’s pretty fun, cool, easy but still a little bit challenging.

A day in the life and home of a child in an informal settlement.

Hi my name is Kevin Jones I’m a 11 year old kid that lives in a informal settlement.

Every morning my dad and my big brother go out with a huge bottle for water. I wish that we had some indoor plumbing so we can just wash ourselves and don’t need to stand in line for a natural resource. We all share 2 beds and there are 5 of us it is a very tight space. I wish we had more beds. For dinner we eat soup or pap you might not believe this nut eggs, bacon, cheese, chicken and Burger King is more expensive than you think. I wish my dad or mom had a good paying job.

Every morning I walk to school and sometimes I cut my foot on a jagged piece of glass or rock.I wish I had some shoes so I don't cut my feet. At my school we have about 30 kids in each class and our classroom is very small if we had just a class that was a little bigger so we don’t get squashed. We don’t have a lot of learning tools so we don’t learn as well as we supposed to. I wish we had a little bit more money in the school budget so we’d had bigger classrooms, more stationery and  textbooks. When we get sick we have to sit in line for hours and hours just to get a 10 minute appointment with a doctor. I wish we had a few more doctors.

One day I ask my mom and dad for a pet they gave me a little baby chicken (a chick). I used my allowance to by bird seed and and eventually I saved up for a chicken Koop. when I got home from school my pet chicken died from a piece plastic which had eaten when he had get a sip of water from the river.

My name is Benny

One day I a person called Mr Raymond the singing inspector came. He was hateful, rude and mean but he had the best hair I have ever seen he had golden hair and eyes like the bluest ocean. He called everyone except the young ones and the big boys in to a big room. We had to sing doh ray me and stuff like that once that was done he some kids stand up and sing for the class me and Charles were first runners up.

We could not sang for the lives of us the he shouted “Come on sing why don’t you?” But then in highest pitched voice probably anyone had ever heard I said “We can sing Pretty Polly” the bark at us and said “Then sing it!” Then we started singing Pretty Polly. Charles sang in a very low voice and me I sang a very high one. Then when we stopped to take a breath he shouted and said “You two voiceless wastes of time get

out”.

Now we just sit in with the big boys and Learn sums kid we see in our grade is Iris Vaughan.

The Grade 4 Camp

Two weeks ago we whet on camp. We went to Simonsberg, my name is Zac.                                               

In the morning I have to admit, "I was terrified!" On the bus I almost cried but I got used the fact that we where going camp. Okay so it was a little different from the last time, with 2 nights instead 1 but I made the best of it.

let me skip ahead a bit after driving for a few minuses we made to a place called " the Giraffe House". As you can see in the picture below I'm touching a snake that is because they  (by "they" I mean the people that work there)
